...We Went to The Farm!

Image
That is right! To the farm we went. Taylor Creek Farm that is! It was a beautiful morning to go the farm. The sky blue. The sun shining. What more could I want? Well, I want fresh grown produce to take home. I want to eat locally grown, healthy food! I want to do my part to improve the local economy by supporting the local businesses like Taylor Creek Farm.  Speaking of Taylor Creek Farm, Please meet Michelle and Chuck! They are some of the wonderful people in my community. I had the pleasure of meeting them last year. They grow everything on their farm naturally. I managed to buy and eat some of their produce. I was not disappointed in anything that was purchased ...but, (yep a but!) when I arrived last year, they were mostly sold out. That is very exciting for Michelle and Chuck. ...How many of you have a type of a program on your current computer that is for editing your photos? I think by now all computers come with such a program, but I could be wrong.  Well, my Hubby's computer is an iMac and it has iPhoto (he got it for me, the program). On our old and dead computer with Windows, it had Paint and I hated it. I hated it because I truly never understood it and gave up trying. Which meant many of my photos were as is, many were too yellowy, too dark, too whatever. So, with this iPhoto program, I bravely played around with the editing. First achievement was removing the "red eye". YAY!  Next baby step, adjusting the yellowy, next step adjusting contrast and so much more. I have been able to tweak a photo here and there to some degree of satisfaction. Well... until NOW, actually last week! No matter what I did to "fix" the photo of Abigail, I was just not happy. Too much yellow, then too much green.. then.. and then... ...

...Size Does Matter!

...especially if you're a Basset Hound! When Mr. Peabody joined our family back on the 25th of August 2010, we had a donut doggie bed (bolister style) for Abigail. We did not have one for Mr. Peabody, so we devised one for him. He hardly used it. Abigail being a very sharing beag.. she gave her bed to Peabody and he made the best of it. In fact, it appeared he loved that bed regardless that his hind end would at time be on the floor out of the bed.. or his head, as you see here. There was a BIG box, all wrapped waiting for Peabody. Abigail is an old pro at unwrapping presents and helped Peabody. It was a really big bed... bigger than Abigail's! Now we, the Pawrents feel much better for Peabody not hanging out of a small bed. Wouldn't you feel better too? We officially had a White Christmas in the Northeast Georgia this year. From what I understand... the last White Christmas in these parts was back in 1881! Maybe... just maybe this White Christmas could partially...

Last evening at 7 pm EST  there were many "Snoops" celebrating! Snoops is private group of dog lovers that come together and share and care about dogs, our own and rescued & fosters.. and transportion of these dogs going to fosters and fur-ever homes. I'll mention more of this in just a bit. Anyhow, our dogs (mostly beagles) did Secret Santa Paws gift exchange...from all over this planet of ours! We were blessed to have this cute doggie named Maximus as the doggie to send our secret gift(s) to. This is Maximus! Such a handsome boy, and adorable too! It was our special time last night for all of the Snoops to open their gifts from Santa Paws. It was important to document this once a year event with pictures and/or videos. We got to see what each blessed doggie got from Santa Paws! Max-imus recieved these from his Santa Paws, presents all wrapped up!  Heaven of treats!!!! Max has a brudder named Buford and is a beagle. From what Max was saying...

...Ahh The Memories of This Summer!

Image
The Summer has passed and at times this early Autumn you wouldn't know it by the temperatures! The first half of October was still hot and humid! Then it was wintery cold in the evening time! I have been taking that trip down the memory lane, particularly today. Laundry were dried in the fresh air,  the scents of Heaven to my nose. First time that my Wisteria bloomed in an abundance!  More scents from Heaven. The battle between the Squirrel and the Beagle,  never ending! More laundry for the fresh air,  Laundry never ending! Quilt blocks made for the swap on MaryJanesFarm Connection, colorful to my eyes. Kitchen Angel made for another swap on MJF! Pine-needle baskets made from Nature. My first Redwork on pillowcases... made for a barter! A new addition to our family! The harvest of juicy Blackberries! I bagged these blackberries and put them into my freezer. Yesterday I was looking in the freezer for something and saw thes...
