Aren't these dressed shuttles cute?  I think no nekkid shuttles will ever be safe in my harm's way!  Muuuwahhhahahahaaaa *cough* Was THAT Dr. V coming through me?  Maybe it is all genetic? ...Sometimes, A Mailbox Holds a Box of Sunshine!

Image
A while ago, I posted for a chance of a giveaway at one of the blogger's site. I was the lucky gal whose name/ number that was randomly chosen. Aileen's Wicked Tats sure has put a lot of goodies into one box! It was filled up to the brim, as they say. There were so much goodies that I had to separate them into smaller groups for pictures! This also includes the backdrop fabric that I used!  A cute pink piggy pouch (like a coin purse), very sharp pair of scissor, a clever pouch (dotted one, a square pot holder folded in half and stitched on side and bottom). Isn't the fabric colorful and pretty! The yellow bear face is a retractable tape measure, press the nose and it retracts the tape!  The green round gingham is a cute pin-keep, lid flips to reveal pincushion and enough space for holding sewing stuff with in it, the red thingy is a knitty bob thing-a-ma-jig (remember the wooden spools with little nails in circle and you made a knitted tube?) It is like that wit

...A New Book That Surged My Tatting Fingers On!

Image
I have few books for tatting instructions ...how to Celtic, how to needle, how to shuttle and numerous pages of patterns for tatting from online, doily this, edging that, motif those. I wanted something more or different to do. After Christmas I batted my puppy dog eyes (hubby says they are) at Hubby for a book that I wanted for Christmas but did not get. He faltered (I am so bad, I knew he would) and said for me to order it. I ordered it and it arrived sometime last week. I have been tatting my fingers off with glee! After all, this girl here received lots of threads and shuttles for Christmas... from that sweet Hubby! The book that I had to have was,    A TATTER'S WORKBOOK, edited by J&K. Kliot Approximately 172 patterns, 112 pages. Includes corner and straight edgings, medallions, round doily borders, collar border. This is a most unusual and fascinating collection of tatting patterns as recorded in a New England notebook by an anonymous tatter in the 1920's. The pa
